Jellyfish Dreams
Ongeim'l Tketau | The unreal vision of a lake
During a long scuba diving trip to the Republic of Palau I explored the Jellyfish Lake. Millions of years ago, this wonder of nature got totally separated from the oceans, jellyfish have been evolving independently. Virtually without predators and through the course of the eons they lost most of their stinging abilities, becoming harmless to humans. Several millions of the golden jellyfish, mastigias sp., inhabit the lake and migrate daily following the sun light to capture its energy.
