The Halo
Forest’s shapes | A conceptual representation
In a forest where the beech is the dominant species of tree, one can find during the month of May, a great wild flower phenomenon at the doorstep of Brussels in a particularly pleasant atmosphere. Millions of Blue Bells, Hyacinthoides sp., spreading in all directions, create a blue carpet in a unique and breathtaking scenery. At sunrise, I chose this thick screen of trees as a background, aligned the sun behind the main tree to create a halo of mystery and I playing with lights and shadows to show a conceptual representation of the forest´s shapes and colors using the panning technique.
